One of the most common cancer that affect men is the prostate cancer. Lycopene has been a new source of study that could prevent and treat prostate cancer.
It has been notably known that lycopene is an antioxidant found in tomato, guava, apricots, watermelon, papaya and pink grapefruit that can prevent the aging process and improve skin health in both women and men. Lycopene is mostly seen to be more in processed tomato products including paste, sauces and juice.
Dr. Kumar, Ph. D., R.D., Director of Nutrition at Moffitt Cancer Center, found that lycopene can reduce the growth of the cell of the prostate cancer and results can be seen within six weeks.
