Department of Health Secretary Francisco Duque III emphasized a continued government controlling and preventing dengue – a disease for which there is currently no vaccine or specific drug, the Manila Times reported last year of June, 2009.
There is a main total of 6,537 cases of dengue that include the 62 deaths have been reported in the country from last year’s January to May months. On that date, the latest dengue figures are lower compared to this time last 2008.
